We built an animal from scratch, we turned it into a monster.
Worked our hands to the white of the bone, and we set ourselves up for failure.

It's hard to think of what we made and see anything but losses.
For five years, we sat on top of the world. We just as quickly packed our boxes.

I watched the ashes fall years ago. I saw the passion leave your face.
I watched the smiles go from real to forced to blank stares.

We all dug the hole, and we buried it together.
